1 INTRODUCTION. Mid-infrared diffuse reflectance (MIR) spectroscopy has been established as a rapid and cost-effective analytical tool for quantitative analysis of soil samples (Guillou et al., 2015; Reeves et al., 2001).The presence of fundamental vibrational absorption bands in the MIR spectra allow the estimation of many soil physical and chemical properties with high accuracy.Mechanical grinding effects were investigated for the single crystals (1c) and powder (1p) of imidazolium hydrogen succinate.The high-temperature phase partially precipitated, while the bulk structural transition observed for 1c was suppressed in 1p.. 1p showed drastically higher proton conductivity with lower activation energy than 1c at a lower temperature.
